Musician Profile: Cary Judd

Whether he's on the road or at home in Wyoming, Cary Judd is always making music. With a current tour in the works and a new, yet to be titled album due out in early 2008, Cary Judd is no doubt a busy guy. Having already released two albums as a solo artist since 2003, his new album is mostly a reflection of personal stories that he's experienced since his last album, "Looking Back From Space" was released. The subject matter ranges from quantum physics to love, as Cary believes that "Love will always be worth singing about."

At first listen he is just like any other pop-rock singer/songwriter. But it's the second listen that gets you. Well, maybe it was the first, because after that you just have to listen again. Cary Judd, is an amazing musician and poet. In just ten songs, he is able to pick us up and place us right in the middle of his world. These songs have perfect pop sensibility and are accessible by all music fans. Songs like 'Glow' and 'The Lights Are Always On' are catchy and appealing because of the connections they make to the listener. His voice, similar to that of Matt Nathanson, is soothing and straightforward. He's your brother, your son, your friend. He's a real individual with real experiences and emotions. The thing that set him apart is he is able to convey all of that, while still staying true to reality, through song. Cary Judd is a true star in the making, and on this, his second independent release, he makes his case well. The stop and fast forward buttons on your CD player are about to get incredibly ignored.
Under Review: Cary Judd, Live!

Hot out of the concert, and I'm just wishing for more. For the second time, Cary Judd makes a stop at Northwest Missouri State University, and I only wish he would've had a better audience.
Cary Judd is one of the best performers I have ever seen in concert. True to his vocals and his style, Judd delivered a performance that is unique and of a caliber rarely found in college, let alone commercial, concerts.
